Departure to Pondicherry (100 Krns / 2 hrs) Earlier a small quiet French town famous for its heritage buildings and Aurobindo Ashram and Malakular Vinayagar temple. After lunch enroute visit Pitchavaram,(80 kms/1.5 hrs) famous for it s mangroves and scenic beauty with backwaters. From Pitchavaram proceed to Chidambaram (16 Kms/ 30 minutes), One of the most ancient and most celebrated of shrines in India.
